Here is yet another patriotic (Quilt of Valor) quilt. My client Carrie has loved sending these to me. I promise the next couple of video quilting tutorial posts will not be of a patriotic nature…LOL.
This was a fun quilt to work on. It is constructed with a combination of panels for the four corners, large printed borders, and then a pieced interior of the quilt with simple star blocks.
I use rulers (CURVE IT® 6, DITCH EVERYTHING® mini, STRAIGHT 8®, and STRAIGHT 12®) to create easy continuous curve and dot-to-dot designs, along with stitching in the ditch and straight line quilting. Then free motion custom feathers and pebble fills.
I talk a bit about Innova start speed (cruise, coast modes on some brands), using stitch regulation and manual mode for pebbles, efficient quilt paths, and of course I make fun of myself and my mistakes whenever possible.
Enjoy!
