This is the 3rd part of a series on custom quilting Legit Kits quilts. Legit Kits specializes in multicolored kona cotton, subject driven paper-pieced quilts. Their subject matters includes lots of animals, insects, and plenty of inanimate objects as well. They have a unique approach to FPP (Foundation Paper Piecing) which may appeal to quilters who appreciate a block based assembly.
As far as longarm quilting these quilts, you will find the same issues as with any paper-pieced top (often times many points converging in one spot and seams that are pressed in directions that may not always be ideal, but that are necessary in the paper=piecing process – but sometimes those can be repressed in different directions). Even with those issues, these quilts are fun to quilt and I had a great time figuring out what to do with this one!
